Will this vent actually look decent on our 6g celicas? I want to get one and make it functional (cut the hood, adhere the scoop and seal it). I need to get some hot air out of my engine bay, I have the header set up and it is wrapped but everything is still extremely touch hot in there after running the car (city driving). Couple questions though... 1) Will it screw up my SRI set up at all? 2) Obviously on rainy days, rain will get in there a bit, how would I prevent rust and what not to my engine? |

Air coming in the front, air coming in from the top. Where is the air going to escape? Do you have an inter cooler that the scoop is going to help cool?

The air would escape to the bottom of the engine with the scoop (forward facing) or it would escape out of the (vent) toward the pass-side window. I don't have an intercooler. I am only concerned with cooling the exterior of the engine because the header creates a lot of heat that heats all the connection switches, radiator hose, and under the hood. I just want to cool it off and any possible air flow created would do that to any degree better than what I have now. |
