OMG so i got home from work today excited to do my dash conversion like everyone else in this forum. so i went bought myself some refractory blue LEDs for my dash; checked them when i got them delivered, they worked fine with a battery and a base that i got from kmart. so i started taking my dash apart with much success and ease i got up to the switching of the LEDs. Now the problems begin, i didnt bother to think that the LEDs were terminal sensitive so i stuck the 3 LEDs in the back (lighting my tach, speedometer, temp, and fuel gauge). When i went to plug multiplugs back in none of the LEDs turned on. so i remembered the LEDs were terminal sensitive and continued to replace the LEDs with the original bulbs and with no luck they didnt turn on. so then i went on and rotated the bulbs (8F f***ing different combinations and no luck and they didnt turn on. so i gave up on it and went to my glove box to change the little light to a blue LED. that originally worked till wen i was flicking my parking lights on and off that it blew. Now none of the internal lights work. My Cigarette light ring, my A/C back light, back light to the stock light and autotramission light(P R N D 2 L and ECT).
Did i just blow a fuse that collectively controls all the internal back up lights? on my dash the Park brake, battery, oil, BRAKe, driver seat belt, and O/D Light, light up. The light for thebuttons on A/C unit, dome light and courtesy door light light up. also before i moved on from my dash to glove box, the back up lights in the middle console were working. Did i just blow a major fuse? if i did can u tell me where to locate the fuse as i dont want tostuff things up more. photos PLZ! visual aid will be the best help atm. did u do something more serz? can some plz help me, i still want to convert my interior lights. i was really looking forward to this. now i got parts all over the place, bulbs and screws everywhere, its quite an ugly look. funny thing is im still in my car typing this as im waiting for the rain to die done so i can run back inside. help plz rich -------------------- |

Yeah it was the dimmer switch... i didnt think of it... just a another question, is there an indication on the circuit on the back of the dash that indicates the positive and negative side? i was looking at a mazda 1st gen forum and it mentioned that a K is the negative side
i used refractors in the back... came out well. java script:; This post has been edited by r1chie: Jun 3, 2009 - 7:59 AM -------------------- |
