Will this vent actually look decent on our 6g celicas? I want to get one and make it functional (cut the hood, adhere the scoop and seal it). I need to get some hot air out of my engine bay, I have the header set up and it is wrapped but everything is still extremely touch hot in there after running the car (city driving). Couple questions though... 1) Will it screw up my SRI set up at all? 2) Obviously on rainy days, rain will get in there a bit, how would I prevent rust and what not to my engine? |

Alright, the scoop is a NO GO. I am now considering a hood with a vent/scoop already in it. I need advice and help on what to get (brand, carbon fiber, regular material) and where to get it. I have $550 for this option. Help?

For 550$ you could certainly look into an aluminum gt-4 hood if not carbon fibre, check out Buy/Sell thread on a daily bases, there is also a group buy (GB) thread for carbon fiber hoods if you are lookin for something real nice. Beaware: If you get a gt-4 hood and keep your current front bumper there with be a gap (1inch) between your head lights. some like it, some do not (acts almost as an air source) either way you would need to replace your hood lach which you can pick up at any Toyota Dealer.
