Just finished up replacing the head gasket due to a compresion leak into the radiator (foaming the antifreeze). Start it up and now the rear main is hemorraging oil out of the bellhousing.

Anyone out there replaced their rear main seal "in the car"? Gonna have to pull the trans, flywheel to get to it. What a PITA.

browsing through an autozone yesterday and i saw a bottle that said Rear Main Seal Repair. it says it stops leaks on the rear main seals and all types of engine leaks. I have an oil leak that i believe is coming from the top the the oil pan that is connected to the block. Im about to reseal the top of the main oil pan with the toyota sealant on my next oil change. Should i also buy the bottle, or will i be waisting my money on the $10 of Rear main Seal Repair???
