Hey guys I just have a quick question. I've just done a fresh oil change about 2 weeks ago and since then when my car is cold just for a second or two max when I start it up my check oil light is on and I can hear a slight knock underneath the hood.
I've consistently checked my oil since the change hot and cold engine and its around the middle to the dip stick of not a bit higher. I've checked for any leaks on my filter and nut on the pan but they're both good.

Thanks in advance! I'm off to work so it will be a while for my responses.

Maybe the sound you're hearing is the valves clattering before they get oiled? I know mine starts and puts the oil light on for just a second or two, and the valves are noisy because they haven't received the pumped oil yet.

This is what I'm thinking, hoping its valves and not a rod knock. I'll try to get a recording up fairly soon just gotta find my camera.

Very cheap or defective oil filters can cause this.
