So I've been noticing the past few days I have paint starting to peel in a few places. I know most of the car has been repainted over time, I'm guessing due to hail damage or vandalism or something because there is no evidence of it being in an accident. Mostly starting to peel up around where the tape lines would be: around the top of the windshield, in the gas cap, and around the front grille area (worst here). The paint isn't perfect, and is really rock-chipped up, so I knew someday I would be re-painting, but is there any way I can try to delay further paint damage? I didn't want to even think about paint work for at least a couple years, and whenever I do it the entire car will be stripped down and most likely change color.
The thing that upsets me is that so far where it's peeling up, there is good looking paint and clear coat underneath. I.E. no prep-work evident. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
