I took my car to the mechanic today to change the fuel filter. After 2 hours of work he says he still couldnt unscrew the lower nut (fuel intake?). Packed everything back the way it is. Any advice?

The nut is all battered from him trying to take it off but it still wouldn't budge.

(It's a 7AFE btw)

if your mechanic dont have a proper flare nut wrench to get that lower nut loose without destroying it, its time to find a new mechanic.

what he said. speaking as a technician myself, if the guy can't handle a fuel filter, i wouldn't take it back to him.
