My starter has been going out lately. When I turn the key, the starter makes one single click and does not turn the engine. I have to repeatedly do this until the stater works. I'm thinking its the contacts in the starter and was wondering if this would fix my problem:

Well to get her started, just hit it a few times with a tire iron or something of the sort for the time being =P
Now redoing the contacts in it may be more a hassle. I've done electric motor contacts before, its not easy if you've never done the work before. I think it would just be easier to acquire a starter from a local yard, but hell if your motivated, and those are the correct parts, give it a try... |
