Im thinking about upgrading my component speakers, since our factory ones leave a lot to be desired. I have a modest budget of about 50bucks that I would like to stay within for the front two speakers.
Im looking for something with good clarity and good bass response, to compliment the two 10in subs I have in the trunk. Any recommendations?

I would agree that the speakers seem to have degraded with use over time. My '94 GT had pretty awesome speakers, it was a single owner and was 100% stock. The '98 GT I have now had 4 other owners and had mediocre speakers at best (even though they were the same), they lacked bass but the tweeters were still crisp. I think it just depends on how much use they've had.

That said, I would still recommend some Kickers for a tight budget (and if you're not going to be putting them on an amp). For the price of their low to midrange ones, they have pretty good sound quality.
