Alright. I have a 94 St with a frankensteined 7a-fe/4a-fe motor in it. I say that because I took the good parts from a 7a and 4a to make one good motor. The motor that came out had over 200k on it, and these two both had around 80-90k. That all took place in about March-ish. The car has been running good since then, besides the occasional small issues. The other day when I was driving, the oil light started flickering on and off . I was just driving normally and not beating the hell out of it either. I pulled over and checked the oil level and it was good. I do have a small pan leak, but nothing too serious. But I do have to replace the valve seals and piston rings cus it huffs blue smoke. The light doesn't stay on tho. It just flickers. When you have the car on and are just idling, it is on longer before it flickers. But when you are driving it is on less and less.
Oil pump going bad? Short in a wire somewhere? Thanks in advance if you can help me out!! -LeAnna |
