I saw this posting for a Celica, because I'm looking to do a GT-Four Swap, this isn't exactly what I wanted, but I figured someone else might want to check it out. Here is the link to the ad, and some information I got through e-mailing the guy.
http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/1241882063.html QUOTE (Craigslist) '94 Celica ST. 5 spd. body in good shape but no engine. Started an engine swap and had no time to finish the project. Great car to finish the swap, use for parts, or put the correct motor back in. Also have some new parts willing to include with the sale such as axles still in the box. Also selling the 3sgte turbo celica motor that I bought to swap in for an additional price. MUST GO!!!! no time left to work on a project car, need to get it out of the driveway asap. Call anytime day or night if interested or want some more info on it. (860) 917-9588 or email me. the-house87@hotmail.com QUOTE (Email) The celica is an ST hatchback. I have the motor listed by itself for $1000 but am willing to go lower especially if the car goes with it. It is a 90-93 motor, I forget which gen that is. I was planning on keeping my celica FWD(I heard this was a much less expensive swap as well as faster), I purchased a GT FWD tranny which is already hooked up to the motor with performance clutch parts in it. I no longer have the AWD tranny that came with it. I have the GT motor mounts to swap in to allow the motor to fit, I have brand new GT front axles and radiator needed to do the swap. I have the ECU and wire harness for the motor, and two full wire harnesses to the ST model. I really wanted to finish the swap but the shop near me screwed me and went out of business, so I don't have anymore time or help to finish the swap. I will listen to all offers since I need to get this thing out of here and get a car to drive for now. Thanks PS: It's in Connecticut This post has been edited by Ruroniarc: Jul 7, 2009 - 10:06 PM |

If you read closely in the e-mail communications we had, he has the GT motor mounts, the ECU and wiring harness, and a FWD Tranny for the car. He has everything you need to complete the swap, basically. And it seems as though it would only be about 1800. That's less than I paid for my ST alone, and you'll be pushing 250 HP.
In my opinion, this is a steal. I would jump on it if you have the money, time, and knowledge to do it. |
