So I went over to my mechanic's today to grab some stuff out of the Celica since he was holding onto it while I looked for a buyer for the car since it knocked Easter Weekend. When I got there, assistance flags me down half way between the parking lot and the shop and tells me my car's been broken into and they took the wheels. He told me they were trying to look for our contact number to tell us about the incident but they couldn't find it. I thought he was joking at first like he normally does, but sure enough, I walk behind the shop and there's my car....sitting on bricks....on its rotors....
The wretched thieves smashed the driver's side door handle pretty well and ripped out the lock cylinder to get into the car. They tore out the center console pretty well with the shifter bezel and AC/radio bezel together in one piece. They took the half-broken Alpine CDA-9857 and iPod cable along with the pocket under the radio. I'm pretty sure all the pocket had was the two remotes for both of my Alpines and the "Toyota", "Celica", and "GT" badges. They took the 12" Infinity sub and 250Watt monoblock MTX Thunder amp I had in the trunk along with my $20 Wal-mart floor jack and lug wrench from the trunk. They left the S-AFC2 though. I also think they took like $3 in loose change from the assorted pockets. I think that's about all they got from inside the car. Outside, they took the Enkies I had for sale along with the lug nuts and left the car on bricks. That was nice of them to do that and not leave the car on its frame. Those were new rotors & pads too. bah. I'll have pics up later tonight or tomorrow morning. I wasn't expecting this to happen so I didn't have my camera with me. What a sh*tty feeling. Plans thus far for the car are: 1.) Hand it over to Death so he can fix it for his kid 2.) Part it out or 3.) Take off what I can, and donate the car as a tax write-off -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

Sorry to hear that. It just proves how stupid some people are. Couple years back I had my car parked at my g/f's place. Somebody took a brick, smashed my passenger's window to pieces, smashed the center console to try to pry $80 Ebay radio out. They couldn't get the radio out but they damaged it beyond repair and smashed the detachable face...
They completely missed $300 Valentine One detector under the seat. Overall almost $500 worth of damages and NOTHING STOLLEN! Here is the best part: I had the radio removal tool in the glovebox, they tried to use it, failed AND left CLEAR FINGERPRINT on it. When the cop came and I showed them the tool HE EVEN DIDN'T BOTHER TO INVESTIGATE!!! Hell, it took me about five minutes to even convince him to step outside of his cruiser to take a closer look. Makes you wish that, if you catch somebody braking in your ride, you could take a baseball bat and beat them to bloody plump and get away clean. -------------------- '94 ST
