Looking to replace all speakers in my 96 gt and add some subs. any recommendations as far as brands? trying to keep it relatively cheap. thanks.

Define cheap. What is your budget looking like? These threads always get out of control with costs as opinions fly and preferred brands come into question.

Are you building your own sub box or buying one? Do you want component speakers in your car or coaxial? You can get some decent package deals sometimes at some shops, like a box and sub for $150, for instance. If cost is a concern, see what some car audio shops have for package deals.

ok well right now i access to about 200-300 dollars. my door panels shake and im hoping whoever installs my speakers can do something about that.
