haha also i was wondering if i can still use my 2 1/2 piping just have the 3" down pipe? so im gonna start buying parts and building a list for my 5sfte i have been researching and id rather spend a lil bit of money at a time instead of the usual 3sgte big sum at once .. . . . . . . soo i need some help building a parts list..im a cheap bastard lol. so iv been reading i need to get a compression test cuz of my 230,XXX miles is there any way to boost my car for under a 1000 bucks? so far i have this everything underlined is what i have tial 38mm wastegate Turbosmart Supersonic Blow Off Valve lotek triple a-piller prosport egt, wideband afr, boost gauges a ebay 3sgte manifold ( i hear alot of bad stuff about them but i wont be running high boost...at all) t3/t4 turbo apexi neo (iv heard good and bad) or do i need a safc2?? 460cc rx7 injectors 3sgte oil pan ebay 10an adapter ebay oil filter relocation ebay oil feed and return lines ebay intercooler kit Walbro fuel pump hks filter metal head gasket ngk spark plugs obx wires what more do i need? you will DEFINATLY need a compression test. but with 230k it is a little iffy to boost due to how many miles are on it. i would HIGHLY recommend buyin a 98+ 5s and going from there. and it IS possible to do it for 1000 but youd really have to find some deals. IMO spend the money and make it worth while, dont cheap out. Cheap, Fast, Reliable Pick 2. i also recommend Water/Meth injection, Devilsown make a great kit, its about 230 bones. Most of us on here who have it just run 50/50 meth and water windshield washer fluid. but definatly worth it. it will help prevent engine knock. id only be running low boost like 7-8psi if anything ill just go for it if i loose the block ill just replace it right now theirs no leaks and no smoke is there a big difference between wastgates and bovs? whats a more resemble choice i like the supersonic cuz the loudness but could i run a bov and a wastgate? I personally wouldnt turbo my car if it had 230k, its kinda like askin for problems. you HAVE to run a BOV and a wastegate. a BOV basically just releases pressure. and wastegate realeases exhaust pressure.
