First things First. This is about a Honda Civic....Don't hate...yet!
Haha, alright guys, SOME of you already know about this, most of you don't. I figured I might as well post a thread about my Civic Turbo build. Now I know most of you will stop reading at this point. Please don't be that close-minded. A Turbo build is a Turbo build, reguardless of make. As of right now my engine is done at the machine shop (got the call this morning) and is ready to be picked up, as soon as I sell one of my testicles I will pay for it and get my motor back! The block consists of YCP .020" over pistons with Forged I-beam rods. ACL Race bearings, APR head studs, and perfect circle rings. The block was bored, honed, line honed, and decked to accomodate the new guts. I have the oh-so-common eBay t3/T04E 57 trim with a 63 A/R. 3" downpipe mated to a stock cat, then 3" catback from there. Factory head for right now. I did order a custom thickness head gasket from commetic that too them 4 week to make...quite irritating if you ask me. Precision 550cc LI injectors with a 93 Accord resistor box. I am running Water/Meth injection (Devils Own)...Most of the Honda community doesnt really run the water/meth so I'm going to see what I can do to make my build better! ACT Stage III copper ceramic 6 puck with a Fidanza 7.5lb flywheel. Um...I'm sure I'm forgetting some tid-bits of information, but those of you who have done turbo setups before, please feel free to ask questions. I have been working on cars for the past 13 years and this is not my frist Rodeo....QUESTIONS and COMMENTS are greatly appreciated! Those of you who have NOT done turbo setups and whatnot on N/A engines, just sit back and enjoy the ride, and HOPEFULLY someone will say something that you can take and apply to your own car! I will have some pics as soon as my engine gets home from the machine shop! honda daily FTW way cheaper to build way easier to get bigger numbers...it is sad, but true. Yes, it is sad, but very true. The heads on Hondas are some of the best flowing OE heads, this could be part of the equation! Awesome Cam - I'm surprised to be the first to say this - but this thread is [nearly] worthless without pics seriously tho - wanna see the car and the machine work when you get the chance. this'll be fun to follow a build that isn't a 3S/5S/7A/4A build. Cool Matt, I'll post a few pics of the car as is right now, then Monday when I get the engine back from the machine shop I'll have pics of that. I hear ya man it's becoming a more popular build now. Did you know that there even building dog box trany's for them now, and there's a single cam in the 9's right now.. Yeah, I'm on turbod16.com and those guys are putting down obnoxious numbers with their SOHCs! -------------------- www.tweakdperformance.com contact@tweakdperformance.com |
