I recently found myself to be bored, so I reinstalled the original Max Payne because I liked it so much a few years ago.
It's still a great game. Graphics are pretty good, but the gameplay itself is still awesome- shootdodging a baddie just does not get old. So, does anyone else dig up old stuff, and if so, what are you playing? I hope I'm not the only one. And I'd consider an old game to be something like five years old, considering how quickly the graphics are evolving. -------------------- '97 ST \ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+ [sold 10/18]

My buddies and I whipped out the ol 64 to play goldeneye, perfect dark, mario party, and mario 64 lol.
Then we played ddr on ps1. That was a fail as we only had 1 working pad and the other dude used the controller. -------------------- Pandelica 2.0 in progress. |

Can get all the DDR mixes plus community songs for free no way! ps1 ddrs are the best! i have the original, best hits, 2nd remix, 3rd mix, 4th mix, 4th extra, 5th mix, and disney ddr. gameplay is just like the arcade. all the port overs that they have now are lame and some don't even include the original songs. and the ones that do, the steps are way different. i have to side with the classics on this one too. i love modchips -------------------- |

I have everything you have, and more on my computer The problems I had with the DDRs on the PSX was the engine. I had Konamix back in the day (that was a great mix, had a ton of good songs) and after I moved to stepmania/PS2 versions of DDR, I couldn't go back. It was harder to read the arrows just because the video was a tad choppy. Rhythm and Police is probably my favorite song. I've essentially muscle-memorized the heavy stepchart from playing it so much (most of the time I can AA it ). My friend's got an A on Max300. Such craziness, I can just barely pass it on a good good day. I will agree with you on the song selections of newer DDRs, the whole library of crappy American pop songs are pretty annoying. The original Konami songs are where it's at This post has been edited by solidxsnake: Aug 17, 2009 - 11:53 AM -------------------- ~Moving on to a 2002 Corolla S~ R.I.P Tom Celica - 1994-2010 |
