I would like to get rid of it if possible. It has one vacuum input, and two vacuum outputs.
I think the outputs are to the IAC and the FPR. Can I just hook those two items up to manifold or port vacuum and get rid of the charcoal canister? It was plugged solid when I took it off, and I was told that this was causing the FPR to dump full fuel pressure constantly. I was then told that this extra fuel may have greatly accelerated cylinder wash out and made my rings go bad. I now have two cylinders with very low compression. Does anyone know if this is true? And can I get rid of the canister? A new one is over $200! |
