Been having a crazy idea, bout getting one, and restore, not to original but to my taste. However been googling around and celicatech has no info that is worthy, a lot of lame forums if i keep googling.
Anybody here that can guide me. I dont have the car yet, but want to find out about completed engine swaps. LOL RWD, means 3sge altezza 6 speed. or similar. anyone with ideas? It's a good car, you just need patience with it. Information and parts for it are not easy to come by at all. 1stgencelica is your best bet though for any kind of help. Engine swaps are fairly common with the first gen Celicas. 7mge/gte, 1jz, 2jz, f20, sr20, 1uzfe are all nice choices. Personally, I'm sticking with my 20r motor and putting together a dual side draft system for it. That along with a header should open the engine up real nice. Then I would use an AE86 LSD rear end and a custom coilover set up and it will be legit . If you do get one, make sure to find one with a clean straight body, and good interior.
