So first of all I just want to let you all know that I have been competing at car audio events for over 10 years and have very good knowledge of anything that has to do with car audio. That being said, when the owner of the local car audio shop that I have been going to since before I could drive recommended marine speakers I thought he was crazy!! It just so happens that he has 2 pairs of them installed in his own car and being that he has the "pick of the litter" I decided to give them a listen. I couldn't believe what I was hearing!! Since they are 8" speakers they have a lot of bass, and they fit in my doors with no modification whatsoever! Plus they are white and you can just barely see them from behind the factory speaker grilles so they look good. They are expensive (they retail for $300 but I got mine for $150), and I would recommend hooking them to an amp, but they sound amazing! I have spent as much as $800 for a pair of MB Quart components and I think these sound better!

http://cgi.ebay.com/PYLE-PLG6C-CUSTOM-KIT-...4#ht_862wt_1165 for front use your od tweet and for back get 3 way or drill a hole and use the tweet. Forgot to mention you need to cut out the old speaker and use the frame as a mod. The how to is somewhere around here. This post has been edited by xrav22: Sep 13, 2009 - 10:40 AM |
