Oh this definitely wasn't easy
 I think I got a little lucky, but I ended up bolting up the new bracket and positioning the motor mount approximately where it needed to be and fed the crossmember back into it's original position. The 2 bolts went right in with a little wiggling and everything came together. Maybe something to try in the future.
