Hey Guys,
As some of you may remember, I recently picked up racing hart M5s in 18x7.5 format. I'm still working on refurbing them, but when I'm through I'm going to be in the market for some new tires and wanted some recommendations. I would like to stay at either a 40-45 thickness, mostly because that will still throw off my spedo by about 3mph at 60, and should keep the overall size closer to the GTS wheels I have on there currently. I've been using the Falken ZIEX ZE-912 tires for a while, and after warming them up they corner magnificently. However, with all of the choices out there, I'm not sure if I'll want to go with them again for 18s. So let me know what you guys have used and enjoyed. I'd like to keep the cost per tire down below $150, but would still like to have nice, grippy tires. I'm also mostly interested in either summer or all weather tires (but probably more summer, I think I'll keep the GTS wheels for winter driving). -TC -------------------- Live your life for yourself. alright guys so here is my tire and rim set up as of now. Ive been wondering how plus size tires affect how fast the celica accelerates and how it affects your top speed. When I selected my tire size i didnt know much at the time and i went with that size because members said that 225 was widest you can fit on the celica without rubbing. well ive learned that wider is not always better. check out the link below?
(16" X 7) Motegi FF7 with 225/50R16 Toyo Proxes 4 Tires sticky material!! atleast i think so.... You can change the different size of tires too see how efficient your rim and tire set up is. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculato...p?action=submit This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Sep 23, 2009 - 12:28 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
