just got a 94 ST automatic to replace my 94 ST manual that my jack ass friend blew the motor in. he slung a rod through the block and now there's a hole the size of a base ball in the block! anyway, i am confused by the head bolts on the new one. its the same engine, but with the head bolts on the manual, the intake side bolts are longer than the exhaust side as it it should be with a 7afe engine. but the automatics head bolts are the same size all the way around. what gives? are they or are they not the same engine?????????????

A friend and I recently pulled my head of my ST. The exhaust side should have the longer head bolts compared to the intake side. Someone must have put the wrong head bolts in your old motor.
