hey folks, just been thinking about the good old days and came across this vid, just 5 mins from a wet track session at castle combe in england, the car your riding in is my freinds integra type-r, were both on semi slicks in the wet, and lapping in a different league compared to anyone else on track at that time, hopefully you enjoy watching a gen 6 pulling away, check some of the angles, whats understeer?? i was on worn r888 semi slicks, one of the best times i ever had in that car biggrin.gif

Awesome!!!!

You said before about gear ratios in one of your previous posts, did you put a different final drive in your gearbox?

Good luck with the gen 3 by the way!

thanks biggrin.gif

When i decided the body of my ss3 had had enough! and decided to move on to what ended up being my gen 3, i was dismantling an e56 gearbox, i've never seen aftermarket final drives for the s54 unfortunatly so no i never ran it, but i was as i say dismantling an e56, which is the gearbox that came on early 94-95 jdm ss2 gen 6's with superstrut, it also comes on the 4a-gze powered toyota's and some carina's etc, very strong box, and you can get a few different final drive options for these from japan, i have a 4.9 final drive which is about 18% shorter i think, the plan was to use an aftermarket ecu ( the 1zz-fe power-fc i'd wired up ) and use the extended rev capability of the beams, increasing to about 8200 rpm at which point, peak speed in each gear would be about the same, but torque to the wheels should increase dramatically regardless of whether the ecu reveals more power or not. I've ket the box and final drive, because i havent yet ruled out another gen 6! or maybe it'll go into my gen 5!.
