Just took my car in to get emission. It failed. I asked the guy what could be wrong and he said he had no idea. I mean the car runs fine. I havent driven it for about two weeks and just barely started driving it again. It did shoot out some blue smoke when it was on the dyno. I think the cat is ok since the NOX rating looks fine.
15MPH %CO2----15.0 %02------0.0 ---------------- HC(PPM) MEASURED 102 ----------------- CO(%) 0.47 ----------------- NOX(PPM) 135 25MPH %CO2----14.2 %02------0.0 ---------------- HC(PPM) MEASURED 159 Fail Max Allowed 118 ----------------- CO(%) 1.64 Fail Max Allowed .54 ----------------- NOX(PPM) 709 If anyone knows what could be wrong or where to start that would be much appreciated. Thanks. This post has been edited by viruz_one: Oct 8, 2009 - 1:17 AM |

co readings are high which means ur running a little rich. Check if u have any exhaust leaks before the oxygen sensor. smog machine cant read blue smoke. all that is its burning oil.Check spark plugs and compression. nox did go up higher which means combustion did get hotter.so check leaks make sure ur oxgenn sensors are performing good and not being lazy
