I'm looking to race a G6 in 2010, the series is UK based and for any make & model that was marketed in any country prior to 31/12/93.
This model Celica appeals to me due to its relatively high bhp as standard. The problem is, the car is normally listed as having a M.Y between 94>99. I believe the production run was from Sept93 to July99. I have seen G6's advertised for sale that say they are 1993 JDM imports. This however, may not be correct. Can anyone confirm & point me in the direction of documentation, that the Generation 6 Celica was sold in Japan in 1993? I have tried a UK based Celica forum, but as yet no clarification. I look forward to hearing from the experts. Thanks, Eliot |

Generally early 1994 cars have a production date of late 93, so by going off of a production tag then yes, there can be a "1993 gen 6" however it is really a 1994.
Same thing as most jap Subarus. The bugeye WRX for the US is listed as 2002-2003, but in Japan it was 2001-2002. Next generation was 2004-2005, and in Japan it was 2003-2004, etc. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
