I'd say it's time for a swap then. Why lose a good thing? Although I think you just want more power, you didn't mention right away of any problems. You simply considered the mileage and using that as the reason it is unreliable. Toyotas are by far more reliable than any Nissan, and I am the first to say it. Two 2001 Altimas are in my shop getting a rebuild, one of which I am doing for my uncle, based on a factory issue that they won't or do not care to take back (I am sure he missed a deadline). Anyway, the motor was already rebuilt 4 times and only has 137k on the engine. I blew a 240sx motor (KA24), and my friend in class had a mid 90's sentra who also blew a whole in the motor. Oh yeah, there is also a sr20 in my shop, but that is because of a fault of a technician. RTV instead of a head gasket replacement, but the boy wants to work on it himself this time, although I wouldn't feel right exactly including that in with the others, however I am certain Toyota and yes, even Honda very much more reliable. On MR2OC.Com, there was a gentleman who has his MR2 over 400k miles, still driving and modded a bit for street. Now how's that for reliability?
