Anyone know of a good "how to" on removing a damaged front bumper/absorber/crashbar/and fenders and replceing it with other stock parts? Trying to see if it is worth doing it on my own (i would consider myself "handy") or paying the $500 the body shop wants for the job.
Thanks, Avi |

All you will need is a #10 metric wrench, a ratchet with extender and a #10 ratchet socket.
Pop the hood and start unbolting fenders from the top, open doors and unbolt screws there, unbolt front bumper bolts where you see them, reach under the fenders through wheel wells, move plastic to the side and remove bolts (kinda hard to reach), once that is done, get underneath the front of vehicle, pop all clips and unbolt a few more bolts there, remove front bumper, remove headlights, unscrew remaining bolts for fenders (where headlights used to be), grab fenders and move them up, be sure to not scratch them if you plan to re-use them. There are quite a few how-to's here that you can use for reference. -------------------- Captain Pessimist
