02/20/2010 LOCATION: Magnolia park, Apopka, FL Google map EVENT: Meet and greet fellow FL 6GC'ers, a little cookout on the grill? Overall just hangin' out. A ~30mi cruise afterward on a wonderful road. Open to changes. CRUISE: Cruise Route: S Binion Rd/Avalon Rd BRING: -Your 6GC DUHHHH!  (if possible!!)-Food! I criss crossed this state backwards and forwards. Driving coast to coast routes can mean less miles to drive but one must also consider things like proximity to nearest gas station or a town. Aside from that... its miles and miles and miles of nothing there. I hit 140 there a few times with an average speed of 110. Tried to cut down my travel time to west palm beach where I go diving.. its fun in the daytime.. at night... spooky.. scary and all you see is avon park bombing range explosions and tons of lightning as you get closer to east coast. And then of course you see sunrise.. pitch black behind you and near daylight in front of you.
