Ok,
I began installing my alarm today and have a couple of questions. I have Coomer's wirin diagram http://www.6gc.net/misc/images/other/rs650...all_diagram.jpg but am not sure exactly where those wires are. I have removed the drivers side kick panel and have found about 4 different harness down there. For example at least 2 or 3 of the harness have a black and white wire. A specific example of what I'm taling about is Coomer says in his diagram for the starte output wire coming off the alarm should go into the "black/white wire @ ignition harness" how do i know which one of those harness is down there is the ignition one? Also in another post someone said "Door locks are negative trigger. In the left kickpanel blue/black is lock and blue is unlock. " What harness would this be in? Thanks Cormudgen This post has been edited by Cormudgen: Dec 14, 2003 - 4:53 PM |

thanks, coomer. that was the info i needed. i hooked up everyhthing but the stuff that goes into that harness tonight and got my keyless entery working fine. decided to wait for your reply to do the igniton kill and what not. it was workin beautifulyh till just now when i left hom i noticed that i kicked a wire i left hagning. i didnt think i knocked loose so just tucked it in and kept driving. stopped somehwer for 5 min and then began the drive home. 5 min into the drive the lights started dimming and whatnot if i put it in neutral and hit brakes. figured to much power was getttin drawn so i just continuily downshifted instead of brakin all the way home. once i got home the battery was completly dead. i'm to tired now but am going to look into the culprit tommorw.
here is how i have it wired as far as power is concerned though Red:straight to battery +(with fuse) Yellow: to ignition fuse in drivers side pull panel(also have remote turn on for amp going here) Black, grounded to chasis anything wrong with that you see? like i said i havent investigated yet and intend to do so tommorw. i may hve just kicked something loose. cormudgen |
