So i have finally gotten the 94 gt engine into the car. It was a real pain, basically had to use the jdm engine as a long block, and switch everything over. Well after doing the timing belt, water pump. switching fuel rails and intake manifold, exhaust manifold, ect, I finally finished, sure enough, the car turns, but wont start. After doing all this, i dont even know where to start. If anyone could help, i would really appreciate it.

Update, so i got the car started. Turned out it was the grounds. So thank you all very much for your help. So far it isnt running so well. First off, my power steering pump is leaking bad, i think i know how to tackle this one. 2nd, not 100% sure but it might be leaking oil from behind the timing belt. IS this possible? Third, theres obviously a vaccume leak on the car somewhere, its revving up and down like crazy, oh and the smoke(which i expected). here is a pic of the new engine in the car

I had similar issues with my swap.. my car revived up and down crazy also.. you have a vac leak.. looking at the pic I dont think your pressure sensor is plugged in.. you should go ahead and plug that in if its not. are your power steering hoses cut?? that could be the reason your PS is leaking. and check to make sure all hoses are plugged in anything unplugged will lead to the bad rev. if you have access to a vaccum leak sensor u should use it.. any place u have a leak it will smoke out. Not to sure about the timing belt issue.. pretty sure someone here can help with that however.. Good Luck man This post has been edited by SlvrCelica09: Nov 17, 2009 - 6:44 PM -------------------- THIS IS WHERE WE HOLD THEM!
