Just as it states. I really need your help guys and gals, especially those local to Cali/AZ. I need a new front bumper(Idc on the color), driver side fender, and I dont know if I need just the glass from the drivers side lowbeam( I might be able to fix it, but I dunno) or the drivers side low beam.
I was sitting at the exit to leave the gas station when a guy(I'm holding in all the colorful language, but trust me its hard) was pulling in(the entrance has room for about 4 cars to fit). I learned to just sit even if you see a blinker because sometimes ppl just leave them on, so I sat. He ran right into my front end. I was in the far right lane waiting to turn right, he was coming in from my left. I attempted to get out to check the damage, but the door wouldn't really open because the fender was blocking it. As I struggled to get out, the guy put it into reverse and bailed. I tried catching up to him, but by the time I got all back in the proper mindframe and not pure rage/confusion, he was gone. I decided to drive it home and then get out of the passenger side because the gas station is only a quarter mile or so from the house. I will post up pics. This isn't a WTB thread, that will come up when I get back soon, along with the pics. Just figured I'd throw a heads up on parts I need in the mean time while I cool off a bit. If you have my number, txt me, or if you know someone who has the parts I need for cheap or reasonable price that I can get the parts quick, pm me or txt me. Here goes, it doesn't look that bad, but it still makes me sick to my stomach..... Figured out, its the lowbeam, front bumper, fender, and then the supports to my radiator and random other supports and stuff like that are crunched up, can't tell too much from these pics but its what I have atm from my cell phone. And as she sits now.... Just to think, earlier today she looked like this.... This post has been edited by dabazied: Dec 8, 2009 - 11:21 PM -------------------- |

Thanks everybody for the replies and stuff. I remember a lot, it was a early to mid 90s thunderbird, teal, kind of a darker teal. I've actually got a good amount of his color on my fender, so matching it up wouldn't be that hard. License plate, not sure about, was def a cali tag with the cursive writing(not the old school block stuff) Other than that, there was nothing to remember except the driver and passenger's face. It was at the entrance of a gas station and he had just turned at the light to get on the street to take the side entrance, not sure about cameras. I figure replying this stuff here is easy as writing it down, plus I wont lose the piece of paper this way lol.......
I'm not worried about color Griff, I'll shoot you a PM, I just have to see if I can even afford that in the budget atm(gotta love the economy and scheister bosses who haven't paid out in over a month now lol). Thanks Derrick, hit me up. Lilgreenyota, thanks man, hit me up when you get back, but hopefully I'll have that part taken care of *fingers crossed* CastrolCelica, honestly, I'm a bit weary to bring it up to my insurance because a similar thing happened to my buddy, they still put the accident on his record, never found the guy, and his rates still went up(not skyrocket, but still, it's the principle of the thing, ya know?). Richee3, if I see this car around, trust me, Imma........ call the cops immediately like a responsible person would*cough*lil retribution first*cough* lol, jk on the coughing part, well maybe, I'll deal with that bridge when I come to it. I'm really wondering if anyone knows of where I could rent a grinder and some welding supplies for a day or if anyone local knows where I could borrow one, at least then I could get the fender back on track so that it will at least fit until I can get a new one and also fix those supports and mounts. Also, anyone know what the cost of just the lens would be for the headlight? Clear or stock, doesn't matter. I mite be able to do a temp fix on it so it's still usable until I can get another whole assembly(still have all the tabs which were all broken off, WHICH I just swapped in there because my old one had broken tabs). -------------------- |
