I plan to move to new office in middle of February (fingers crossed) so will need car until then. This should give enough time to those interested to come up with finances and ask lots of questions. Preferred method of payment is cash.
For sale: 1994 Toyota Celica GT Coupe Tan Turquoise Color with questionable paintjob from previous owner. Celica landed in my hands with a dead computer and traveled all the way from Weeke Wachee, FL to Brandon, FL on a flat bed. At that time I went ahead and installed VIS invader body kit. Once that was squared away I took car to XAT Racing where ST205 3sgte engine was installed with management system, exhaust and yada yada. Car was also outfitted with a monster size front mount intercooler and dyno tuned to 261hp to the wheels. (well re-tuned) it kept spinning wheels at first on every gear shift. Power steering was not connected and after many unsuccessful attempts I gave up trying to fix it. At first it was hard to get used to putting extra elbow power when turning, because all my previous vehicles had power steering. That little annoyance was quickly forgotten as I learned to use lack of power steering to my advantage. Another little snafu that was left by XAT is upside down steering wheel. I never got around to fixing it but it could be done over a couple of hours. Also at some point in time before greddy BOV was installed my aluminum pipe running from FMIC kept popping off so it had to be re-engineered because of a weird angle. I took my car to a muffler shop and they welded me a very functional pipe, welded BOV to it and it has not given me any problems since. Old pipe is still in my trunk. Also included with the sale is the airbag suspension that again I never got around to install. Ever since moving to Florida I find myself engaged in work and other activities that prevent me from tinkering with the car unlike the old days when all my free time went to my cars. Naturally this is a project car and it has not been babied like other swapped celicas might have been. This project is a great starter for those with limited income or those looking to get their hands dirty. Everything you might need is already there. Car is engine swapped, there is a body kit, air suspension etc. I have been a long term member of this website. I started visiting it in 2003 but officially registered in 2004. I have been to car meetings and went through several celicas in the last 11 years. Taking that into account it would be wrong for me not to warn potential buyers about things that are not ok with this car. -We have already talked about upside down steering wheel -And crappy paint job (but car would have to be re-painted anyways because of body kit) -Engine bay needs cleaning -Air suspension not installed -Engine mounts are broken on one side so replacements have been purchased but never installed (will be included with the sale) -rear bumper will need to be molded to the car or professionally touched up in couple of places if you choose to keep it a separate piece. -mesh inserts for fenders need to be put back in. I have them but they are bent out of shape. -front bumper may need mesh. I lost mine during the move to my new home. For me FMIC looks a lot better without mesh in front of it. -FMIC passenger side bolt needs to be put in. Its the bracket that is on front of the intercooler that can be seen when looking at the car standing in front of it. -manual shift boot needs to be replaced if necessary. Its kind of torn up. -engine might need some tuning (ie spark plugs etc). -passenger side power window keeps getting stuck. I have not fixed it but I found a workaround. It closes half way then a couple minutes later I close it fully. I drive this car to work every day 25 miles in each direction. I have fun with it pretty much daily. I am selling this car for many reasons. If you kept up with forums you know that I have to graduate from being a boy racer to a future dad who still likes to have fun. I am purchasing myself a 4 door evolution x to get me by for the next 15 years. I am also selling this car because my employer has build a new office to which I am about to relocate. We have some important corporate people working there and my car will be a visible eyesore since I have no time to paint it or work on it. I am selling the car because I know that trading it in would imply that it will likely end up in the hands of a dealer and who knows what will happen to it then. I would rather have it live out its days in hands of a loving owner that is passionate about celicas. I have set my suggested sale price to a very fair price of $4000 or $3000 if you do not wish to purchase air suspension. I hope that this covers all bases. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Things that were fixed and or done to the car: New Alternator and belts (installed by me). New Harmonic Balancer/Crankshaft pulley (installed by me and mechanic) Steel pipe that goes from FMIC to the engine. Greddy BOV was also welded to it (done at the shop) Muffler brackets were modified. Muffler kept coming off when I crossed over large speed humps. Optima yellow battery was installed New tires (about 2000 miles ago) sony xploid stereo VIS invader bodykit Z3 fenders 2.5 inch full exhaust 3rd gen engine swap ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edit: last image date is wrong. I have not painted the car at all.. but it has been painted by previous owner twice and rather poorly. When I bought it, that was not a red flag for me because who in their right mind even considers driving a brown celica? I was going to repaint it into red or blue. In 11 years of me being in 6gc I have yet to meet a single person who does not have a knock off of a veilside kit. This kit was made by vis racing. There is not a single fiber glass kit out there that lines up perfectly. All have to be trimmed or otherwise modified to fit especially for coupes. Engine came from japan as is.. I did not buy it nor had 800 to pick from. XAT racing has ordered one and being goofballs they hoisted up my car.. removed the cross member and did a really poor job bolting engine in. Story goes that it fell from the lift so they had to order another engine causing 1 month delay on the build. When my car was delivered to me it ran like a champ and it did everything I wanted it to do. I have not asked them to polish it or anything. I don't have time to work on the car so I have not had time to make it all sparkly and everything. I doubt it ever will.. its not a brand new crate motor. Intercooler pipe was bent a couple of degrees off so when coupling was attached to the pipe even with clamps it took about a week to wiggle itself out of the coupling. New pipe was bent with that little issue in mind. Are you asking me questions because you are interested or .... -------------------- Captain Pessimist
