Hey folks-- so I swapped my driver seat a few mins ago. I read all the threads to do w/seats.I estmtd my time to be about 1 1/2 hrs. Well---it's ME so I added more time.
OK-it took 30 mins!!5 was trying to unplug the wire under the seat with out breaking either end, another 5 lining up the bolt holes!! 10 trying to put the plastic bolt covers on w/out breaking them. CRAP--broke 1!! The seat belt latch doesn't work!!CRAP!! IDK how to remove lumbar knob!! So here's my Qs-- (1) How do I get the latch off the bad seat?? (2) How do I get the lumbar knob off the bad seat?? It's too dark & too cold now.I can do this first thing in the A.M. Thanks every1 for any tips//help Rob |

You have to pull the upholstery off the seat in order to get to where the seatbelt latch bolts onto the frame of the seat.
As for the lumbar knob... you have lumbar support? I don't. But I'm guessing that that knob just snaps on; either that, or it attaches similarly to the way the manual window crank attaches - if you push in on the side of the seat to look behind the knob where it attaches to the shaft, there will be a little "U" shaped clamp thingie. Use something pointy to remove it, like an o-ring pick. It works perfectly for stuff like that. (it also works great for unclogging a vacuum cleaner hose full of dog hair) -------------------- |
