I was thinking about this today at work...

when doing a complet conversion (ST204 to ST205), the direction parts (rack-and-pinion, sway bar, spindles etc) fits only if you go RHD (since they are only available from the RHD ST205)... but what if you take them from a ST185 LHD (canadian GT-Four), would it fit to go AWD and stay LHD? And by fit I mean without any major modifications or cutting & welding...

To sum up: converting a ST204.... swap a ST205 engine + tranny with AWD rear and ST185 direction parts on the front to stay LHD?

Of course you could use the front of a LHD ST205, but try to find one!!!! OR maybe ordering brand new parts from a dealer? But geez, trying to find a Toyota dealer that can hook me up with LHD ST205 would be hard as ****!

I did a quick search and found out that some parts are the same from 5th gen to 6th gen (none GT-FOUR) such as lowering springs, sway bars, camber kits. Things that aren't the same : shocks absorber, coilover kits and a few others.

So, anyone has an idea?
