I just bought 94 Celica gt hatchback and it has no heat being that its December this is a bit of a concern! I bought it from a friend and so far we have burped the coolant and tomorrow we will be changing the thermostat but if that doesnt work are there any suggestions?

have the car up to operating temp and touch the hoses going to the heater core on the fire wall. You could also pull up on the carpet on the passenger side to see if there is coolant puddling up on the floor pan.

Look at the heater valve on the fire wall to see if the valve is actually open. The little thing that has a metal cable attached to it. should be towards the firewall. If its not towards the firewall its stuck closed not allowing heat to flow into the heater core. The valve should have a heater hose coming from the coolant pipes and then going into the firewall.
