Heya im thinking about taking off that fabric stuff under the bonnet cus not sure what its for and is getting worn, is there any danger in me doing this and would i need to get nething to cover the hole where the grill is in my bonnet if so what do i need?

well it is fire retardant, but its pretty much used as insulation. by this it acts at insulation from heat and also for noise. keep in mind that not everyone that buys a car wants to hear it running, but actually they want the car to be quiet. not a problem removing it, and if its deteriorating, i would say take it out as the fire retardant that it was sprayed with is probably worn out and could become a fire hazard if you ever had it touch the exhaust or if a flamable liquid sprayed on it and ignited, could make the fire worse.
