not a ford guy by any means...more like a die hard chevy guy...and of course a toyota enthusiast...but i always, since i was little, loved the fox body style Stangs.......so i bought one about a month ago...CHEAP
i went down and took a look at it...didnt look too bad just really dirty, car started right up, ran good, but needed a few little things, nothing costly though. the only real problem the car had was that it would bog out when you gave it a little too much gas. I took a look at the carb and it was a edelbrock 750 cfm...WAY to big...so i picked up a 600 from my buddy, put it on in the pouring rain last friday night, and the car ran freakin awesome. basicaly its an 89 with an 85 5.0 carburated motor swap. The car was oroginally a 4 cyc. car, and the LX body style makes them the lightest of the mustangs. No ground effx. no fog lights, none of that bullcrap. 5 speed. black on Red. next up for it is an 8.8 posi, and eventually i would like to pick up a set of gt40 heads and cam the bittch. heres a couple pics, and of course 2 vids of me driving it the way it should be driven... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Her first wash.. ![]() videosssss http://videos.streetfire.net/video/50-must...nout_724382.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/donuts-...e-50_724391.htm This post has been edited by 95st-celica: Dec 9, 2009 - 10:57 PM -------------------- ![]() I"M NOT A TOYOTA FAN, IM A FANATIC 1984 accord hatch 5 speed (T-Belt)-Junkyard 1991 VDUB jetta wolfsburg Ed. 5 speed (clutch)-junkyard 1988 Dodge Aries K (sold) 1969 Chevy El camino - Traded for celica 1991 Dodge Daytona-Traded for Celica 1988 Chevy Camaro-Work in Progress 1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 - For Sale 1995 Toyota Celica-Work in Progress |

I know people are big on that fox body style but as someone who lived through that the first time around and remembers those things vividly, I have to say that I think that thing is ugly as HELLLLLL. I thought they were ugly as sin when I was 15 and I think they're even uglier now that they're old and have been ridden hard and put up wet. lol
Obviously that's just my opinion though; for real I'm happy for you and hope you enjoy it! -------------------- ![]() |

But you have to respect how light they are and how much power they have under the hood. |
