I've got Yokohama s.Drives all season, they're not so great in snow either. All seasons really aren't meant for snow. That's why I'm actually sitting in America's Tires right now, having a set of Hankook iPikes put on as I write this. Supposed to be really great winter tires, I guess I'll see. BIG thanks to the member on here local to me for selling them to me for basically nothing! (Thanks again brthrurik!)

I drove my Grand AM GT on proxes4 and ive driven worse things in the snow. The V shaped tread pattern did NOT help the car get started in the snow, but it wasnt bad stopping. It didnt pull side to side too bad on highways either. Really the biggest downfall was the starting up... But that's a comparison to what Ive driven that was on A/S tires. Now after driving the celica with snow tires, Id never go without them. FYI... On my wrx I am running Dunlop Wintersport M3 tires. They are amazing in the snow and better on dry pavement than the stock RE-92s until it gets above 50 outside. There are a few better rated Snow/Ice tires, but these kept some decent dry performance as well. They handle the upstate NY snow like a champ. |
