i just placed an order for a set of sportlines, 1.5inch drop. the guy from tirerack said that i should get the alignment kit for the springs. then i call up a local shop and they said that i dont need the kit.
my plan is to try to have a friend do the spring install and then take the car to a shop to have them do an alignment. i figure that a shop should have everything i need to get the alignment done right. so do i need the alignment kit or not? Here is a link to the alignment kit im talking about. This post has been edited by lagos: Dec 12, 2003 - 2:57 PM -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

They don't come from the factory with adjustable camber; however, the toe is adjustable (as it is with most cars). They do allow/authorize the use of factory crash bolts to correct camber issues, which you could use to dial in more (or less) negative camber. My recommendation would be to buy the Toyota bolts as opposed to the ones from that kit. I just ordered 4 and can post the part # in a couple days if needed. |
