will kyb gr2 struts run good with ground control coillovers.

I had GR-2's with a Ground Control coil/sleeve kit and it rode fine. It was stiff, but okay. After about 20K miles the KYB's were already on their way out. GR-2 is an OEM replacement, so while they say (they=KYB) you can put lowering springs on them, I would definitely save the money and buy Koni or Bilstein shocks.

That depends. They're fine up to or around 1.5".
