I have very nice Alpine speakers in my Celica, and on the way to work my driver's side tweeter popped a few times and then stopped playing. These things are only a couple months old and the music was far from loud. I've definitely played my music much louder than this, and I was wondering if there might be another reason for it going out..... .or are these just cheaply made?
Anywho, is there a way to replace just the tweeter without having to replace the one in the door that's still functional that it's attached to by wire? I'm not going to use the speakers until this issue is fixed as I don't want the voltage blowing any other ones out since the tweeter isn't being used. -------------------- |

It's not the power, most likely a bad tweeter voice coil depending on the type of speaker. Coxial, Trixial or seperate componets? It can happen to any coxial speaker. If the other front tweeter is working properly it's just a bad unit on the other side. With Alpine it should still be under warranty.
