how do you guys wire up the "ground when armed" out put on an alarm.
This is the very common orange wire on alarm. When the alarm is armed this wire will ground itself, so it is designed to operate a relay. But doesn't that mean it will have parasitic drain on a battery the entire time the car is off? Is there a way to wire up the relay so it is on when the alarm is "disarmed" so it will only draw power when the car is running. |

Try using the factory arm/disarm outputs to switch on/off a relay controlling your fuel pump. When the car is armed, the relay would latch (-), and when the car is disarmed (including when the remote start is activated) it would show 12v. This would allow your system to work the same as the ground when armed (orange) output, but also letting you bypass the issue with the starter anti-grind.
