E153 LSD out of a 95' Mr2

My project 5s-gte (445whp) ran strong for almost 2000 km before i started getting a grinding in first gear... then i decided to shut some silly old man in his porsche 911 turbo up, happy to say he was no challenge.... downshifting back into first then rolling off on the next light... Well first became neutral....

And here's why:

Also managed to crack the casing... not sure which caused which tongue.gif lack of fluid destroyed the gear OR the gear caused the leak and fried the trans completely.

New project: E154F trans and caldina rear diff ..... i guess frown.gif

It is very rare that I hear a E153 break on the gear and not synchros or bearings. If your synchros were good, this is abuse or front jumping or bad shifting. A gear like that can surely hold 800-900hp if you put power to it when it is fully engaged. E153 needs slow shifting IMO
