I have -94 ST202 with 3SGE engine. Idle won't come down. It idles with warm engine around 1100rpm. I have checked almost everything:
1. vac leaks - can't find any 2. cleaning IAC - cleaned 3. error codes - nothing 4. throttle cable too tight - no no and no... 5. adjusting IAC - Adjusted and no help 6. checking IAC does it even work - checked, it works 7. selling the car and buy Nissan instead - probably... Can broken lambda sensor cause this? |

I don't know how to check it on our cars, but the a/c has a setting to increase the idle. If you've had the a/c or defroster on, it will idle high.
The same circuit that will increase the idle can also be faulty, causing the car to idle slightly higher even without the system on. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
