Ok,
I began installing my alarm today and have a couple of questions. I have Coomer's wirin diagram http://www.6gc.net/misc/images/other/rs650...all_diagram.jpg but am not sure exactly where those wires are. I have removed the drivers side kick panel and have found about 4 different harness down there. For example at least 2 or 3 of the harness have a black and white wire. A specific example of what I'm taling about is Coomer says in his diagram for the starte output wire coming off the alarm should go into the "black/white wire @ ignition harness" how do i know which one of those harness is down there is the ignition one? Also in another post someone said "Door locks are negative trigger. In the left kickpanel blue/black is lock and blue is unlock. " What harness would this be in? Thanks Cormudgen This post has been edited by Cormudgen: Dec 14, 2003 - 4:53 PM |

I mounted my brain above the center vents in the center console, and there was plenty of room.
![]() Parking light wire: I don't remember exactly which wire I attached this too, but it was a wire in the driver's kick panel. I used to have it hooked up to the parking light fuse as well, and that worked fine for me. Accessory: Not hooked up on my car. Starter kill: Check this out. Very helpful. Ignition: I had two ignition wires. One went to a blue/red wire at the ignition harness. Another went to a black/orange wire at the ignition harness. Light output (250mA): I'm guessing that this is actually meant to power a SPDT relay to turn on your dome light when you unlock the doors for a minute or so, or until the car is started. If so, you want to use this diagram: ![]() The negative door trigger on our cars is a red/white wire that gives ground when either door is opened, and +12 volts when both doors are closed. Status output (250mA): I have no idea either. Your manual should explain this wire, and the light output as well. This wire will go to a relay or a low power circuit though. Ignition output (250mA): Not sure on this either...your manual should explain it as well. This wire will go to a relay or a low power circuit though. Accessory output (250mA): Not sure on this either...again...this wire goes to a relay or a low power circuit. I'm guessing that maybe this wire and the previous one are auxilary outputs to control things like power windows and stuff like that, but try to find out from the manufacturer or your manual. Starter output (250mA): I'm guessing that this goes to terminal 85 of a SPDT relay. 86 would go to ground(or +12 volts if this output is negative), 30 would get fused +12volt power from the battery, and 87 would go to your starter wire in your ignition harness, which was black/white for me. Not sure on any of this though. Your manual should tell you what these things do. Rearm and disarm are probably for interfacing this unit with a factory alarm. Again, your manual should be of help in determining what these do. Hope this helps. ![]() ![]() -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
