Anyone have any complaints on the eibach sportline spring set?
Ive been reading reviews from many websites many on different cars about always bottoming out on speed bumps, and trying to avoid bumpy roads. I like the look of the sportlines but does anyone on here that has them notice a bad ride quality or any problems for everyday use?? Also is kyb gr2 front and rear struts my best bet or are there other choices because on one review the guy said he blew those at about 10,000 miles with the sportlines??? many people on here have this setup, so i was wondering if this would be a good purchase for my car for lowering it. And of the people that have this setup how many miles have you run on them without any problems? I was going to get spacers but I'd rather just save up and get a lighter set of 17" rims with the right backspace. I agree that they look too tucked in.
It wasn't very hard to swap these at all... but I have a full shop to work in. The three foot cheater bar was a must for getting the rear struts free. Don't expect to take the thing apart with a basic ratchet set. I also replaced all four mounts and the spring insulators. I had the rear struts put together before the car got into the shop. All I needed to do was swap out the entire assembly. I'm glad I did that because one of them is so rusted up that I can't get the top nut off. The fronts I had to take apart to reuse the cap that's on top of the spring. Got a spring compresser from harbor freight for cheap. Not much to it really. |
