I have a 94 1.8 St Celi that seems to make a grinding noise when I shift into 2nd gear. It does not always make this noise happens every once in a while when I get into the 5-6,000 rpm range. It gets really annoying and i really want to fix it. I'm just not sure if it will cost alot.
Also the same grinding happens when I try to shift down to 2nd gear going 40 mph. Its not like it doesn't go in but if i force it then it will make that annoying sound like metal against metal noise. This doesn't happend in any other gear but 2nd. For example when im on the freeway going 70 in 5th gear and i decide to go into 3rd it goes in smoothly with no problem. The same with 1st if i try to downshift into 1st gear going like at 25 it either wont go in or it does. But neither 3rd or 1st gear make any metal to metal sound, like a grinding noises. I would really appreciate anybodys help THANK YOU! -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
