Fair enough. Neither of us are considering drop height though, which is important. For my purpose, yes I'm going cheap...but GR-2 struts also do the job. They're guaranteed not to blow with a 1.5" drop or less, even if they are just OEM replacements. And my springs are exactly...a 1.5" drop. However, this doesn't mean I won't focus on sway bars later on, just not at this time.
Anyway, richee3 has been running Autozone end links for a while without issue, although I'm not sure how long they were on when he was actually dropped. I'd spring for those Racing Beat ones, 20 isn't a dramatic difference (although 50% more expensive, relatively). I see no specific ones made for the Celica in that link though, unless it's implied that the ones for an MX-5 fit. And the reason for not sticking with OEM end links is because I'm sure they'll break upon removal, so I just need a similar replacement.
