 Safest Top Speed, noob question |

Say I wanna find the top speed in my ST. It's an automatic, so I don't have as many options for some things.. but after I'm in the highest 'gear', how high should I let the RPM's get before I slow down? Should I let it get so close as to redline, or 6000? Or something lower?

i thought something wasnt right about the gt stats, but i dont drive one so i wasnt sure about it.
