Hi 6GC members, I'm having a hard time finding an answer to this question. I understand that there is some leeway whenever we're choosing the tires for our rims. The tires on my current rims are 205/55R15, but to replace these would cost me a fortune (250$ at the local Canadian Tires?).

I have a spare pair of 185/65R15, and was wondering if I can fit these to the rear tires. Would someone with more knowledge be able to confirm with me if this will fit with my current rims?

My rims are the stock ones, so looks like this: http://www.6gc.net/photo/howto/151/5

Also, with these rims, does anybody know what other tire sizes I can fit on? It doesn't have to be high performance, really. It's just that 205/55R15 is very hard to find around here.

Thanks

K

I found a set of 195/55/15 (more popular size) on tire rack for $55US per tire shipped and I know those fit. According to tire rack the 185 is too skinny for a 7" rim. Check out tirerack.com and discounttiredirect.com.
